The purpose of Church Street is to call all people to God.

The God we call people to is perfectly seen in Jesus Christ.

Our task is to imitate Him.

We believe that Church Street is one of thousands of churches of Christ around the world.  We know we are not the only Christians, but we seek to be Christians only.  We desire to speak where the Bible speaks and to be silent where the Bible is silent.  We have no book but the Bible, no creed but Christ Jesus.  We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God.

Our message is that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God.  The church belongs to Him.  We have no authority to change His teachings or in any way to take away His authority.  We are non-denominational with no outside institution to determine our policies.

We seek unity and restoration of the church as delivered into the guidance of the apostles in the first century.  We seek to be one in Christ with all others whom He calls His own.  We attempt to imitate the New Testament precedents.

We renew our belief in Jesus, our Lord and Saviour, each first day of the week when we assem-ble to celebrate the Lord’s Supper and to remember the sacrifice He made for us. We rejoice in the Lord through prayer, a cappella singing, giving, and studying God’s Word as our praise to Him.
